Our sweet boy is almost five weeks old and continues to get more and more entertaining. I can't get enough of his funny faces and antics. Watching him grow and change is amazing.

I can't believe my little bun is three weeks old but, at the same time, I cannot remember life without him. We got out of the house a lot more this week. My mom and I took him to Cumberland to spend time with both of his great-grandmas. He slept for the entire hour and a half car ride there and back; as long as music is playing in the car, he is very content. It was amazing to see my grandmothers make over my sweet little boy so much. Casey and I had a little date Saturday night and my parents watched Benton. It was nice to get out and crazy how much I missed him even though we were gone for less than two hours. My heart is very full.

On Mother's Day
I could not be prouder to be this sweet angel's mom. Watching him grow just over the past two weeks has been amazing. He already has such a personality and is bringing us so much joy. I love him more than anything.

Benton was born on April 26. I was five days overdue and went in for a non-stress test, only to find that he was breech. I was several centimeters dilated and had been contracting for a week. We went in that night to the hospital and they tried to turn him. The painful process lasted about thirty minutes then they determined I would have to have a c-section. Although the process was VERY different than the natural birth I had prepared for and envisioned, everything worked out wonderfully. My 8 lb. 9 oz. (bigger than expected!) baby boy was born healthy and really is all that matters. He is ten days old today and here are some highlights of his first week and a half:
